  5. Throw away your Lonely Planet, throw away your Rough Guide. Stop staying in hostels. Don’t go where the backpackers are. Get off the “traveller” circuit. Go somewhere where you’re the only westerner the people there have seen. Then do it again, somewhere else. Be intrepid, seek adventure. Don’t be a traveller.
